Live Fire Training, Mar 7, 2018

Firefighters and a fire truck at a smoky scene, possibly addressing a fire incident.

Throughout the day on March 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th, the Teton County Fire Protection District will be conducting Live Fire Training in a vacant house located on Central Avenue in Tetonia.  During periods of the day, smoke will be coming from the house and the fire department will be present. You will notice emergency vehicles in the area but this is a training event. In the event that the fire department is not present and smoke is coming from the house, please do not hesitate calling in emergencies as you normally would.

During all times of training, we will keep Central Avenue open to vehicular traffic.

Thank you for your consideration and understanding during our Live Fire Training. Donations like this provide real-world situations that enable us to continue to provide a high level of service to the community. Firefighters train on truck operations, SCBA operation, hose advancement, pump training, water supply, hydrant operation, hose deployment, and interior fire attack.

Thank you also to the family, whose generous donation made this training possible.
