Years of Service: Since 2020.

Training Highlights:
I have been a licensed Advanced EMT in Idaho for eighteen years and in Wyoming since 2017.

I am a NOLS-certified Wilderness Medical Technician and have fifteen years’ experience as an instructor/trainer in EMS, Basic Life Support, CPR, and urban and wilderness first aid.

Hometown and Years in Teton Valley:
Born in Alhambra, California. Moved to Pocatello, Idaho in 1991 and Teton Valley in 2001.

Personal Details (family and hobbies):
Have raised seven children, including two adopted daughters. Youngest son is a sophomore at the University of Idaho, Moscow and we have a twelve-year-old daughter at home. Have seven granddaughters, no grandsons (yet). Wife Lisa is the managing partner of Pine Needle Embroidery in Victor. We all enjoy the wide variety of outdoor adventures available in Teton Valley and surrounding areas. I love working at Teton Valley Fly Fishing Lodge during the summer and year-around actively pursue my favorite outdoor sports of hiking, fishing, hunting and sport shooting.

Why did you want to become a commissioner?:
After retiring from active EMS duty, I felt that my experience and ongoing involvement with the East Region Time Sensitive Emergency Council, Crisis Intervention Team, and Critical Incident Stress Management team would be of benefit to the department and citizens of Teton County. I have great respect for the work our First Responders do and look forward to effectively meeting my obligations to support the cost-effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient emergency fire and medical services to our residents and visitors.
